Factory is the story of four guys who grew up together in the same small town, who drank a lot of beer, and dreamt of one day making a name for themselves. The four guys are still friends and still drink a lot of beer, only now they all work in the town's local factory. When not figuring out new ways to avoid doing their jobs, the guys are usually trying to appease their wives and girlfriends, without great success. When a work-related accident creates a job opening, the guys have to decide who should get the promotion, which unfortunately might require actual work.

WHere are these guys from, anybody know? And were they or are they a comedy group before this show?

One of the guys was on Strangers With Candy on Comedy Central...the guy with the 21 year old 'not related' niece, or something.
He played Stu, the butcher, on SWC. "The Red Squad!"

Jay Leggett is from Tomahawk, Wisconsin, about 20 miles north of where I live. The story is based on his life in Tomahawk. He also did the movie Without a Paddle which was based on life in Tomahawk as well.

This show is not nearly as funny or entertaining as I hoped it would be. I find myself struggling to get through an espisode. Perhaps it will get better with time,i.e. the writers figure out what works, cause right now its not working. I'll give it a couple more espisodes.

For a network which fostered Pros Vs. Joes, The UFC Franchise blow out, and one show hosted by Adam ?? a couple years ago , Spike has finally released an amazing situational 1/2 hr comedy for target their audience in between eps. of Amazing car crashes and Takeshi Castle! I've had over 30 laughs in the 2 premiere edisodes so far! huge support, hope the brass & suits all give it time to sink into thick skinned American TV (cable) watchers.

I love Factory and I think the series is fantastic. The comedy is on a level that I find totally entertaining, but for me the main reason for watching the show is to see Mitch Rouse. I think he is one of the sexiest guys on TV and I look forward to every episode just to get an eye full of him. Mitch has that sexy, hot beefy build and those ruggedly handsome looks and penetrating eyes that will captivate women & men. That guy is completely hot. It's also clear that Mitch Rouse is a superb comedic actor with a split second witty style and delivery that makes is apparent that he has genius writing skills and one hell of an imagination. I really like Factory and I really like Mitch Rouse. Mmmmm good. The Factory DVD will be a must have at the end of the season.

Okay. A quick show of hands. Anybody else out there a little creeped out by Rickman12's comments about Mitch Rouse. Yeah I like the Factory too. The show is really funny. But lets pull up there sport. Unless Rickman12 is a girl. Then by all means have at it.

I am from Tomahawk and personally know Jay Leggett. I think the show is hilarious. It really represents how strange and isolated our town is from the rest of the world. We always said that we lived about 20 years behind the rest of the world.
The humor may be a little dark for some people, but I guess that is what we're used to up here.
Hey bluejaynow! How's Merrill treating you?!
Way to go Jay! We're all very proud of you. Glad to see you home on the 4th!

I can relate to the relationship of these guys which makes this show so damn funny! My Buddies and I are totally like this at work. It's so true to life. Keep it up and hopefully it'll have a good run!
Can't wait to see more.

This is the most original and hilarious show to come to television in years. I'll admit I may be a bit biased. I can relate all too well. I'm separated from my bipolar wife. I relate to Gary's home life, but my feelings towards her are more like Smitty's feelings towards his ex. And my dating skills were like Chase's. Gus reminds me of many of my friends. This show really hits home for me. Even if it didn't...HILARIOUS! Spread the word!

I like the show, I am a machinist in the Navy and have been for 20 years. I am so glad to see a machinist show. I just started watching it and can't get enough. I like the dry type humour because it's kinda like what you do in a machine shop after being underway for 3 months and doing the same thing everyday, My wife will not like it though.

Factory Love it! Theater background however, and certainly more grey. Also hail from Tomahawk and almost hit a deer at 4 in the morning heading for Mos. a couple of weeks ago...lots of wild turkey (hey guys, turkey's are skinny! hormones haven't been added!) Suggestion: skit with Jay singing (he's got an incredible voice)... say you don't know this Jay but your grandmother gave me my first and only doll. I accepted it ,,,reluctantly and when I returned from Catholic grade school one day my brother's had taken it out and put it up on a bale of hay and ......suffice it to say.... my ragdoll belinda was blown to bits :) I Returning to "God's Country" is a must every summer!

I've been machining for about 7 years now. I saw this show advertised and with high hopes thought that someone would finally show machinist's in a respectible manner. But this show failed completely. From what I grasped of it, it made us machinist, which we are proud of our trade, look like a bunch of idiots that don't know what we're doing. Did you not research the job? I do goof around at work, like all of us do, but in my opinion, this show missed the mark by a long shot.
