Don't believe in Santa Claus? While waiting for Santa's reindeer to fail to materialize on his roof one Christmas Eve, a little Doubting Thomas gets a surprise. Instead of dainty hooves, the steam engine of the Polar Express (conductor one Tom Hanks) shows up to whisk him off to the North Pole. Now who doesn't believe?

Tom Hanks (father of four) fell in love with this story and approached his buddy Robert Zemeckis to make the film. To bring it to life the way it deserves, Zemeckis depended on a totally new technology called Performance Capture. See its magic first in this film. (less)
