
Black and White in Florence In Florence, Italy, promoters of the the 16mm Film Festival claim it to be the first Festival dedicated to 16 and 8 mm black and white films. The goal of the festival is to promote black and white film; basically cinema that opposes digital technology or as their press states; "A technology too accessible to everyone." The 16mm Film Festival is presently calling for the submission of experimental films, video art and music videos from the world over - but entries must be derived on Super 8 and 16mm black and white film. Based on the writings of Bram Stoker, Walpurgis Nacht is a five minute black and white film exploration into the genre of gothic horror.
