Description: This two-part film, directed by Martin Scorsese, focuses on Dylan's life and music from 1961-66 and contains never-seen footage from the Bob Dylan Archives as well as rare concert footage, including from his legendary performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1966 when he went electric. Interviews with Allen Ginsberg, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez and other artists and musicians whose lives intertwined with Dylan's during that time provide additional information and reminiscences.

Dylan is also interviewed in the present (2006) and offers a running commentary on his early life and times.
