It just goes to show. Take all your aural exciters, your compressor/limiters, your impulse reverbs, your 24bit 96khz SPDIF interface and strip it all down to a double-bass, an electric guitar and amp, and 2 guys with more soul and feeling than all the corporate f**k whores in the music/film "industry. Saw this guy perform live one night with Leon Redbone, each doing their own thing and I would drive to the far corners to see him anytime. Authentic, rich, deep with soul and never sold out. Thank you John for sharing.

I saw Tom with Leon Redbone, too! Must have been 1979 or so? One of the best shows I've ever experienced. Waits is exquisite in his originality and depth. I wish he would come back to Madison, WI!
