This is the second death I've recorded so far in the Super Bowl...the other is the GM robot. What is going on? Sex and death should not be mixed in advertising. Wake up creative directors.

Did you go out and hug a tree after leaving that post? Seriously, welcome to the 80's...

First off it was not that funny and there is enough gravity on the moon to where you would not float off into space. And all together the adds for super bowl 41 were not that good this year. But hey at least THE COLTS WON WOOT WOOT OH YEA OH YEA __DA BEARS ARE DA DA DA DUMB ! WELL I AM FROM INDIANAPOLIS...

GOOD JOB TEAM LETS GO FOR A 2ND.

I guess I shouldn't say it since my husband works for fedex, but I'll say it anyway, that was pretty dumb for a superbowl commercial!

It was ok...the last part with the guy getting zapped was funny...no matter what jadegreen says. Sorta reminded me of the dinosaur squishing the caveman...which of course, was much better than this one.

As they say "All's fair in love and war and advertising". You'll just have to get over it jade or turn the tv off.

I thought this was hilarious. Most of the others haven't even been worth commenting one.

even though their ads are great, they promote false science: there IS gravity on the moon & dinosaurs died out before man appeared.

Do creationist believe stuff will float on the moon?

Thoughts on the commercial. It was ok. not fantastic. shipping to the moon fedex - not too great. How come we only a ghost rider movie preview, what about the transformers, or fantastic4 sequel?

People and objects are floating off -- the ad people not understanding that at 1/6th gravity 180 pound people still fall like 30 pound bowling balls and tend to stay on the surface. Gets worse when the scene switches to outside the moon base. The Earth is rising but is about 10 times, maybe 100 times larger than it would appear from the surface. OK, OK, it's only an idiotic ad. Then the FedEx Ground Delivery "truck" -- a moon transporter in the spirit of the movie 2001 (the whole ad uses that look for spacesuits and such) -- shows up. One of the guys walking around outside is accidentally kicked off into space and is suddenly smashed by a blazing meteor. Of course, the idiots who wrote the ad don't get that there is no "blazing" in space, where there is no air and no oxygen to allow fire (meteors only blaze when they are burned up by the friction of moving through the air around our planet). Nor is there any wooshing sounds associated with meteors passing by for the same reason (only air tranmits sound). And just in case some knucklehead doesn't get it, comets (ice+rock) emit trails of water vapor that reflect sunlight.

The anti-scientific ad yesterday will see me seek to eliminate any business I do with FedEx. Steve Pacheco, who is in charge of advertising for FedEx, should be ashamed of this ad. Or he should go back and re-take 5th grade science.

The song at the end is "The Final Countdown" by "Europe" - a Sweidh hair-metal band that has shown the US how commercial music is really made, while sticking mostly to European recording studios. This kind of behavior was not tolerated wery well by the US at the time, since the fact that European artists come here to work with recording companies allowed US to pose as self-proclaimed "Mecca" of the world music, while in fact all music came from Europe (part of the world) (which remains that way to this day). For that reason "Europe" quickly fell out of favor and to this day US continues to bitterly crank out TV programs where hired nobodys describe "Europe" (band) as "one hit wonders", the "TFC" song as "annoying" and so on. You can see the consequences of that TV-based brainwashing program on this forum as well :)
