The GM ad was an attempt at I ROBOT or the missing

Nothing here.

This proves GM is officially brain dead. It made me and everyone else in the room groan given they just laid off thousands of people, suggesting "go jump off a bridge" now. Toyota has my business... I cannot stand GM anymore. Cannot blame the studio, rather some brain dead exec in marketing at GM.

An Open Letter to General Motors
If anyone were to question how far removed American automobile manufacturers are from the average American, one need only to look as far as GM¿s high-dollar Super Bowl ad.
The premise of a suicidal assembly-line robot was not only stupid, it was incredibly insensitive¿that is, stupid¿in light of coach Tony Dungee¿s loss last year (and the loss of tens of thousands Americans who are victims of suicide each year).
Congratulations GM on being the most ridiculous and clueless advertiser of Super Bowl XLI.
Sincerely,
An American Consumer

My family was sick when we say the end of this ad. Having lost a loved one to suicide, this proved GM is insensitve to thier customers.

The largest contridiction in this commercial is the fact that nobody can deny robots increase efficency and quality. If it was not for robots we would still be operating the Henry Ford Model-T-Rex factories. The technological insight America came across is what has made us a super-power, so I don't understand why GM can trust robots to create quality cars and still feature them in negative light in this commerical. There is real grassroot efforts to save American manufacturing, and maybe robots are just the the answer. www.saveyourfactory.com is a website dedicated to educating American manufaturers on the benefits of using robots to increase manufacturing and keep them on American soil.
