I was rooting for this stupid proposal all through the super bowl, then to see how lame and not-romantic the spot was/is, as i read and heard, flat screen tv, hidden cameras, sorry JP, im not sold. if my boyfriend proposed like that, i would be "thats nice honey, but what the F--k!, get down on one knee and look in the eyes and profess your love to her... superbowl slot would have been impressive, and im sorry that didnt air.All that should matter is how you both feel about one another, and if you think that attempting to gather 2.5 million to show her how much you love her is romantic for 2 seconds, when it didn't happen, you should have put a down payment on a house or something that will last a lifetime, not just the minute of fame..."oh your that guy who waisted all your money, hopes and dreams that was just silly. that money should be spent on your wedding, your future, not 30 seconds of superbowl time or 10 seconds of Veronica mars spot. I loved the gesture, just was as disappointed as you and many others were as well. we all have been loyal viewers to your deed and waiting to see what happens. I hope she she says yes and you live happily ever after.

Lighten up, rockngal! The man went through hell trying to do this! Imagine sitting there, watching your favorite show, and all of a sudden, there's your man staring back at you from the TV, asking you to marry him! I think it's terribly romantic- hell, even if it didn't work at all, the sheer effort that went into it would be enough to melt me to my knees!!! Everyone should be so lucky as to have a man this loving! I wish you both love & happiness! (And babies!! lol!)

FINALY! vindication -- i honestly dont even care about this thing at all; and would probably laugh in his face if he were my boyfriend, but i had to see what the whole thing was about! so even if this was a giant marketing hoax they sure did a good job of gluing us (yeah i mean mostly chicks) to the screen for the past few days.

I guess some people feel a need to broadcast their love and devotion...you see it openly in public places ie: necking and groping each other at traffic lights, bus stops, in shopping malls,movie shows,etc...this need to tell the world "I'm NOT a loser I have a relationship I have a love interest"...GIVE ME A BREAK! please keep your personal interests personal...

I WAS BEGINNING TO WONDER WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON. WELL, WITH ALL THAT SAID, IT FINALLY HAPPENED AND I HAVE TO SAY "CONGRATS" TO THE BOTH OF YOU!! They can daytime the marriage (which will probably resemble something like a coronation ceremony), then late-nite pay-per-view the honeymoon footage, then prime-time reality show the first year, but we'll probably just flip by the documentary that chronicles this romantic story through the divorce.
