He is adorable and some idiot over there wants to put him to sleep because the cubs mother rejected him and they think its harmful to
raise him by humans. But the cub was conceived and born in captivity
what did they think was gonna happen. They should put the guy who suggested it to sleep.

How ironic.
Polar bears are supposed to be the meanest, nastiest bears on Earth!
That baby was way too tame.
I would be careful if I was one of the people raising him.
He is likely to get violent as he gets older.
I could be wrong though.

Cute as hell, but sad. Humans and polar bears don't mix. They're future is dim indeed. I hope all turns out well for this little 1 and his surrogate parents, who I'd imagine know a hell of a lot more about polar bears than any arm-chair enthusiast spouting off on viral video (myself included).

Polar bears thrive in captivity. Mostly zoos, but if the owners have a pen specially made for it and give it all it needs, the polar bear will do just fine. Growing up in captivity, it has already become accustomed to being arrowed humans, and if it was born in captivity as well, it probably believes that they are even a part of its species. However, raising a polar bear is tough work and the owner must be commited to it for its entire life. Even though it seems like he has the bear under control now, there is a fair chance he will decide he does not want the responsibility of taking care of it when it is older and will probably hand it off to a zoo, reserve, or national park anyway. Many endangered animals today get along very well in captivity, and I personally believe if we are to repopulate this particular species, and other dying breeds, monitored lives in zoos or national parks is the best possible choice for them.
Nobody needs to worry, this bear is in good hands.

He is so cute. Just wait till he is 5 or 600 hundred pounds.
They had a wildlife show on these animals, It might have been nature These 6 month old cubs were playing and one cub smacked the other one and killed it playing. These are very strong bears.
Denver zoo just had a zoo keeper killed by a cat, a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks to precious Knut, the cuddly ball of love appearing in this video, I have become a big polar bear fan and have purchased numerous books and videos on this fascinating, spectacular animal. They are more docile than thought according to current research. At Churchill, Manitoba, "the polar bear capital of the world" where there are many encounters between polar bears and people, only two people have been fatally mauled since it's founding in 1717! One victim had foolishly been chasing and throwing snowballs at a polar bear and was crushed by it, and another dimwit stuffed his pockets with raw meat and roamed through polar bear country during polar bear season!! Sadly, both bears were hunted down and shot!!!! These poor creatures were migrating and hadn't eaten for months, yet they do not stalk people and avoid confrontations as much as possible. It is amazing to me how quickly orphaned polar bear cubs bond with their human caregivers, and often the bonds are lifelong based on mutual love and trust. The bond between keepers and polar bears is exceptionally deep. What is even more impressive is that recent findings indicate that these majestic creatures have intelligence at the level of the great apes or perhaps even higher. It doesn't surprise me at all, as the clips on YOUTUBE of our beloved Knut illustrate how complex and smart he is -- he is just about the most wonderful polar bear cub to have ever graced the planet and the cutest too!!! Knut rules.

Above, I erroneously stated that polar bears do not stalk people. They do in very rare situations, primarily if they are starving, or if they are protecting their cubs or territory or startled or abused. Generally, they try to avoid people and confrontations.
