All of our cats do this same thing. We call it their battle cry because they only do it when they see prey or about to pounce on their prey. Sometimes they are almost silent when they do it, Its pretty cool to watch them. I don't think I would consider it "barking" though.

I had a cat once that would actually try to bark (sounded nothing like this) whenever my dog barked at something. I think it's because it was taken away from its mother too soon and thought the dog was its mother (it would try to suck on the dog's chest area where a nipple would be) so it imitated everything the dog did. It would even "growl" at you if you went near its bowl. The cat I have now does what the cat in the video does whenever it sees a bird. It doesn't bark though.

we called "talking to the birds" whenever our cat is doing so! It`s funny but I guess it would`nt be for the bird in question if she could reach it....
