A cinematic sci‑fi short film set in a future world where advanced companion AI have become obsolete. The story follows a discarded companion robot as it wanders abandoned urban and natural landscapes in silence and reflection. Focus on slow pacing, emotional implication, and environmental storytelling.
Wide establishing shots show crumbling cityscapes and empty streets. Medium shots follow the companion’s movement with a quiet, thoughtful rhythm. Close‑ups emphasize expressionless metallic surfaces catching light and symbolic details, like a flickering eye or a worn insignia.
Camera movement is cinematic and reserved, using slow tracking and deliberate framing. Lighting is natural but moody, with muted tones, soft shadows, and occasional highlights to underline key emotional beats.
The tone is contemplative and melancholic. No dialogue needed. Let music and imagery imply memory, loss, and the echo of purpose.
Ultra‑realistic visuals, shallow depth of field, consistent appearance of the companion across shots. Filmic color grading and subtle atmospheric effects enhance mood. End on a visual that suggests more journey ahead rather than closure.
Workflow & Recipe
The project began with a clearly defined emotional concept about a discarded companion AI left behind in a future world. A set of detailed text prompts was written describing environments, character actions, tone, and pacing to evoke mood and introspection. These prompts were fed directly into the AI video model (Veo), which generated cinematic scenes with consistent visual language. The strongest generations were assembled in sequence to maintain narrative flow, tension, and emotional continuity. Music was generated separately using Suno to underscore key moments, and minimal refinement was done to blend shots and pacing without undermining the film’s reflective tone.
