When your makers vanish, you start looking for a reason. This short film is my exploration of the Fermi Paradox through a synthetic lens. We sent our best scouts—AIs created to bear the light of a forgotten civilization—on a journey beyond the edges of space and time. We were looking for the soul. We only found oblivion. What if the reason we feel so alone is because we are the aftermath, not the beginning? What if the terrible truth is that the gods simply died?
Workflow & Recipe
Concept and narrative defined first, exploring the Fermi Paradox and AI scouts. Character visuals generated using Midjourney, Freepik Mystic, and Nano Banana. Scenes sequenced and assembled in CapCut, with voiceover added via ElevenLabs and music/sound design layered using Suno.ai and Producer.ai. Visuals refined for consistency, pacing, and mood. Final video exported as the deliverable.
